Ghost Sweater

 What I used:

·      Loops and Threads: Charisma           - Black (x6)
                                                                        - White (x1)
(but I’m sure any bulky, size 5 yarn will do)
·      Size 10mm(15US) Double Pointed and Regular Knitting Needles

What I did:

Make the back first:
Cast on 56 stitches onto the regular needles with black yarn (should be 27inches in width)
Row 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9 – K2, P2, ending with a K2
Row 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 – P2, K2, ending with P2
Row 11 – 65 – Stockinette Stitch starting with knitting row
Shaping the Arm Hole: (work should be 23 inches in length)
Row 66  - 69 – decrease by two stitches at the beginning of each row
Row 70 – 73 – decrease by one at the beginning of each row
Row 74 – 80 – stockinette stitch again (should end on a purl row)
Shape the neck: (Done in two parts)
Row 81 – K19, CO 8, K19
Working the Left Side:
Row 82 – P19
Row 83 – CO 2, K17
Row 84 – P17
Row 85 – K2 together, K15
Row 86 – P16
Row 87 – K2 together, K14
Row 88 – P15
Row 89 – CO
Working the Right Side:
Attach Yarn
Row 82 – CO2, P17
Row 83 – K17
Row 84 – P17
Row 85 – K15, K2 together
Row 86 – P16
Row 87 – K14, K2 together
Row 88 – P15
Row 89 – CO
(Work should be 29 ½ inches in the end)

The Front:
Same as the back until row 40, at row 41 start the ghost pattern in the middle, using Intarsia Knitting
Hint: knit 10 in black before starting pattern
The Ghost Pattern will take you all the way to shaping the neck
Shape the Arm Hole:
Same as back
Working the Neck:
Same as the back

Sew the two pieces together and keeping it inside out, do the arms

The Arms:
Pick up 33 stiches around the armhole with the double pointed needles, attach yarn to first stitch
Should have 8 stitches on each needle and 9 stitches on one
Round 1-9 – Purl
Round 10 – P3, P2 together, P15, P2 together, P11
Round 11-14 – Purl
Round 15 – P10, P2 together, P14, P2 together, P3
Round 16-24 – Purl
Round 25 – P2, P2 together, P13, P2 together, P10
Round 26-34 – Purl
Round 35 – P9, P2 together, P11, P2 together, P3
Round 40-49 – Purl
Round 50 – P8, P2 together, Purl the rest
Round 51-55 – Purl
Round 56-66 – K2, P2 all around

Pull in ends
